During “Trinità and its rural churches” excursion we will visit the country churches of Trinità  d’Agultu and those found in its surroundings, starting with the Church of San Michele which is located on a clearing, on top of a panoramic hill. We will then meet the Church of Santu Petru. The building is located in the Lu Capruleddu locality, in a very interesting setting from a panoramic point of view. It consists of a single rectangular nave, with three bays delimited by two arches. Outside, the classic bell tower stands in a central position. According to local oral tradition, the first plant of the church dates back to the second half of the eighteenth century. The Church dedicated to San Giuseppe, on the other hand, was built in the early nineteenth century, as a votive offering by some inhabitants of the area six hundred meters above sea level. Even the church of Sant’Antonio had the same origin, in fact it was built as a votive offering by some local families. The date of its construction is uncertain. The building is located in a pleasant valley, in the Li Colti region, not far from the town. Going further inland, within the municipal territory of Aggius, you come across the church of Santu Lussorio which was rebuilt in 1869, probably on a site where a much older place of worship once stood. The building is in plastered and whitewashed granite, inside there is a marble statue of the Saint, built in the seventeenth century. There will be a refreshment point along the way through the “Trinità and its rural churches” excursion.
